SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit
Pros: -Upgraded from a Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Vapor-X GHZ edition card to this one, because I count on the Sapphire brand for utmost quality. -The card performed well when installed and was a noticeable improvement over my old card. -Not too loud and it looks great.
Cons:
When under load the card crashes and leaves a completely red screen. I then have to do a hard reset in order to get it to come on again. After that I began getting several different windows blue screen errors, inserted the old card and everything ran fine. I’ve read that the issue may be due to the card drawing more power than can be provided or a faulty psu. In order to test this I installed the card in a Razer core and it ran fine for a short while but the same crash happened and I was left staring at a red screen again. I have updated all of my drivers, bios, etc. to no avail so I am left to the conclusion that the card itself may be faulty.
